Fig or Ficus referred to a Sacred Fig, one of the world largest and oldest genus, with the ability to grow easily and a big shade serenely sheltering animals and human. To the Buddhists, it is a well-known symbol of peace, happiness and wisdom. read the story

The Story of Sacred Fig...

Over 2500 years ago, under the shade of the Sacred Fig Tree, the Buddha sat and meditated through to his enlightenment.

Before attaining enlightenment, in meditation posture he vowed to remain under the tree not to rise from mediation until finding an end to all worldly sufferings.

His omniscience revealed the truth to eternal peacefulness, pure happiness and freedom from mundane misery. Thus, to the Buddhists, Fig Tree became a well-known symbol of peace, happiness and wisdom.
